Cooling down

It's finally cooler in South Texas. I can now open the windows during the day and turn off the AC. The nights are not too cold so I don't need the heater yet, except when cold fronts are blowing in from Canada.

President Bush said he had a solution to stop cold fronts from disturbing American citizens' lives. "You see, cold fronts are going to need a visitor's visa to cross the border, starting in 2007."

Our little baby is growing stronger everyday and kicks so hard you can actually see my wife's belly move! He especially likes to kick when a cat is laying on her stomach too.

Oh crap, the trash men are coming! I need to put the garbage out!

Maternity wear store

My wife opened her maternity wear store a little more than a week ago and it's doing good. She even was interview by the local newspaper. Check out this article!

One more thing

I'd like to say that Little Jacques is kicking like crazy. Maybe he saw that movie, Alien, and got some ideas...

He seems pretty strong though. It has only been 5 months!

Film making part II

I finally managed to get the film content on my computer, using Windows Movie Maker. I'm not sure if I'll be able to edit it the way I want though... Perhaps my brother will help me. He's got quite the editing equipment, you know!

I watched all my footage a few days ago and let me tell you that when I interview, I talk to much. I have to learn to be silent. I also don't listen well. Somebody might tell me where they live just to have me ask them where they live a few minutes later... Not a good thing! I'd like to say in my own defense that interviewing is hard. I want to have a conversation going and it's hard to figure out the best way to do so while trying to listen to what they say. At the same time, I was trying to keep track of where the conversation was going and steer it somewhat. I shouldn't do that.

On another note, I'm going back to Canada Thursday for two weeks for my immigration interview. I can't wait! It'll all be over soon. As bonus, I get to see my family and friends again, yay!

Have a good one!
