10 hours 'till takeoff

Califo'nia, here we come!!

My bag is ready and my head is weary, eager to empty itself of all that useless junk it accumulated during the year, like good programming habits, the Patriot act or cooking at home (cooking at home? Ha!)

Well, it'll do me good.

See y'all soon!

P.S If any of you guys know what "El Zoco" means, please tell me. That name poped out of the top of my head and I have no clue if it means anything. Perhaps its a name for some old Mayan wizard that used to kill young virgins before they could start thinking about feminism...

  • "zoco" seems to refer to boardgames (or pictures) that are accompanied with little comments. I found the following definition on a geocities site, here it is:

"Off we go here is the ZOCO boardgames and figure games archive together with a little chat from the author. ZOCO has been printed since the early 90's to a very limited readership and went up to issue 21 before leaving the print room and staying in web only format. The links at the left are all to ZOCO articles; they are not duplicated elsewhere. Most are reviews but there is the odd variant here and there plus 2 gamekits. I, by the way am Grayde Bowen, Cymro, currently exiled in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire."

  • Zoco also seems to be a street market at Cordoba, in Spain... There is another one at Tunis, in Tunisia.

However, my favorite is this one:

  • Just in case you wanna pass by Andalousia on your way back from California:

    Zoco
    Arts/Performance Venue, Market/Bazaar, Cordoba

Zoco is the Spanish word for the Arab souk, the one-time function of this courtyard near the synagogue. It now hosts a daily crafts market, where you can see artisans at work, and evening flamenco in summer.

Address: Judíos 5, Judería, Córdoba, Spain
